We use a heavily researched and peer-reviewed protocol for ADHD evaluations. Our test selection is designed to be brief but thorough. We collaborated with experts in neuropsychology and ADHD at world renowned institutions that study adult ADHD to compile our testing protocol. Our testing psychologists have a strong background and training in neuropsychology. We do our due diligence to consult or gather additional information from you when needed. If we believe your case requires a full spectrum evaluation, we will tell you.*
The minimum appointment time is 2 hours; the maximum is 3 hours. This includes an interview and testing. Other ADHD testing assessments can take up to 8 hours. We perform a live interview to gather information about any possible contributing factors, including school history and the timeline of your symptoms. We also assess for mental health challenges. We provide recommendations for therapy, treatment, accommodations, or referrals if needed.
We are conscientious about the quality of our ADHD testing and believe it is important to be thorough when reaching a diagnosis because obtaining a label for a set of symptoms has its own psychological implications. We use questionnaires but do not rely on them for diagnosis (this is why the interview is important). Using questionnaires alone for diagnosis is considered to be below the standard of practice in neuropsychology and can lead to misdiagnosis.

*We do not assess for learning disabilities or IQ as part of this evaluation. ADHD is typically a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning that these issues, and other possible contributory factors, must be ruled out, which we do for you and include in your final report.
